Mar 15,  · Coloured Ball's second album Heavy Metal Kid drops off the pace somewhat after the truly era-defining debut Ball Power. Maybe the song writing seems a bit rushed yet there are genuinely impressive moments to be savoured here nonetheless/5(2).

Hapshash and the Coloured Coat was an influential British graphic design and avant-garde musical partnership in the late s, consisting of Michael English and Nigel liorahealthkunstidumpworktebominere.coinfo produced popular psychedelic posters, and two albums of underground music.. The silkscreen printed posters created by the pair advertised underground "happenings", clubs and concerts in London, and became so popular.

Fortunately, they left behind another great album in Heavy Metal Kid. Like Ball Power, this album retains a power and strength of purpose to this day, displaying an adventurous spirit and further reaffirmation of the band's status as a pioneering progressive / hard rock outfit.

Jun 12,  · Heavy Metal Kid is such a strange follow up to Ball Power. The bad news is that it has very little of what made Ball Power so great. Where Ball Power was almost completely "balls to the wall" energetic boogie/rock 'n' roll/pub rock with just a little bit of pop and progressiveness, Heavy Metal Kid, despite its name, is scattered with all sorts of musical styles.
